How can you make a significant difference in the lives of area youth?

By contributing to Youth Services financially in a variety of ways. All gifts big and small are greatly appreciated and help underwrite the agency's programs which promote the healthy development of local youth and families and help them gain the skills necessary to lead constructive lives within the community.

Ways of Making a Gift

On-Line

Give a gift to Youth Services charged to your credit card, using our secure Click & Pledge site, which mails all donated money to Youth Services twice a month. This service permits recurring donations, if you’d like to make a large gift spread out over several months. You will immediately receive a e-receipt and Youth Services will acknowledge your donation in its Annual Report.

Cash

To make a gift in cash, please stop by Youth Services at 32 Walnut St., in Brattleboro, Vermont. (Walnut Street is across from Brooks Memorial Library on Main Street; Youth Services' building is between Fleming Oil Co. and Brattleboro Music Center.) To make a gift using your MasterCard or VISA, simply call Youth Services at (802) 257-0361 and tell the receptionist your card number and its expiration date.

Donating Gifts of Securities

By making a gift of appreciated securities, you can avoid the burden of a capital gains tax assessment and preserve your cash assets. End-of-year donors are encouraged to call their brokers in late November or early December to ensure stocks are transferred by December 31. To transfer a gift of stock to Youth Services, please use our account at: Merrill Lynch, PO Box 796, 79 Main Street, Brattleboro VT 05302-0796. Please use the following information: Routing Number # 5198 for the benefit of Youth Services, Inc., Acct Number 6QW-02040. Youth Services' Federal Tax ID# is 03-0287694.

In addition it is requested that you or your broker notify Youth Services of your gift of stock so that we may properly account for the gift, its purpose, and send you an acknowledgment of the gift received. Stock gifts received through a broker are anonymous. Any questions, please contact Gail Bourque, Administrative Services Director or Nanci Leitch, Development Director at Youth Services. Thank you.

Matching Gift Options

Revenue from corporate matching gift programs is an increasingly vital source of income for Youth Services. Thousands of organizations match gifts of employees, directors, and retirees. Please request a matching gift form from your personnel office, mail it with your gift to Youth Services. Youth Services will see to it that the rest of the necessary paperwork is completed.

Anonymous Gifts

You may make a gift anonymously. Such donations are acknowledged in our annual report.

Making Gifts in Honor or Memory of Someone

How do you thank those special individuals who inspire and illuminate, stir and motivate? Or people who are friends, when you really need them! Are you having a hard time thinking of a gift for a relative to mark a special birthday or anniversary? Why not make a donation to Youth Services in your honoree's name? You give or mail a card to your honoree explaining the gift, and Youth Services sends an acknowledgement to him or her and a tax-deductible receipt to you! You also could coordinate a larger gift from several individuals in order to make a greater impact on both your honoree and the young people served by Youth Services.

Send donations in honor or memory of an individual to: Youth Services, P.O. Box 6008, 32 Walnut St, Brattleboro, Vermont 05302-6008. Your honoree or their family members will receive word of your gift within a week. The donation will appear in Youth Services' annual report so your honoree will receive public recognition as well.

Making a Donation in Lieu of Flowers

Designating a donation to Youth Services in lieu of flowers when a loved one passes away is an excellent way to make a positive impact on the lives of Windham County area youth and their families. Please advise the funeral home to list Youth Services as your "in lieu of flowers" designee.
