Supervised Visitation Services

"Supervised visitation allows parents in high conflict or high risk situations access to their children in a safe and supervised environment. The noncustodial parent has access to the child only when supervised by another adult. It is the child’s need that is paramount in making any decisions regarding the need for this supervision."

—Youth Services Visitation Supervisor

Youth Services’ Supervised Visitation offered safe visits between visiting parents and children when a court had determined that those visits must be supervised by a third party. Youth Services has worked closely with community partners to ensure the safe delivery of this service. All visits were held at a confidential location in downtown Brattleboro.

In April, 2020 this program was transferred to Winston Prouty Center to continue the quality services we’ve offered. Our decision to transfer the program comes from the belief that this program is better suited to Winston Prouty’s mission than Youth Services.
