We invite you to join us in making a meaningful impact in southern Vermont! Whether you can commit to a year of dedicated service or contribute sporadically, your involvement will make a difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diversion Boards and Restorative Panels<\/strong>
Volunteers on Diversion Boards and Restorative Panels have strong communication skills and a commitment to a restorative justice philosophy. Training is provided and volunteers commit to two and a half hours of service a month in Brattleboro or Bellows Falls. Contact\u00a0kaci.viado@interactionvt.org <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Circles of Support and Accountability (COSA)<\/strong>
Circles of Support and Accountability (COSA) gather three to four volunteers with a person recently released from prison (the \u201ccore member\u201d) to support them in the challenging transition back to the community after incarceration. Training is provided and the commitment is 1 hour per week for at least one year. If you would like more information about volunteering on a COSA, please contact Reentry Coordinator marie.py@interactionvt.org<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“On the surface, the COSA circle focuses primarily on the core members and their herculean efforts to reintegrate into civil society [after incarceration] in a productive fashion.\u00a0 What happens, however, is that the volunteer is drawn into a deep and intimate relationship with the heart and soul of the core member who turns out to be no different than we are and helps us see how we can also navigate the great journey of becoming a loving and compassionate human being.\u00a0 I feel it is a privilege and honor to be a part of these circles.” <\/em>Tom Redden, COSA Volunteer.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Events & Fundraising<\/strong>
Interaction is open to volunteers for BrattRock<\/a> and the Annual Golf Tournament<\/a>. In addition, we always need help in November and the Spring to prepare and mail Interaction’s Annual and Spring Appeal. These volunteer positions are mostly sporadical and usually in a fun and relaxed environment. Contact: claudia.prat@interactionvt.org<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
